Rendezvous with Destiny #WeWriWa Snippet 2/22/15

Oh boy, was I a bad blog hopper last week. My internet was having fits. I had every intention of catching up during the week, but the deep freeze meant I spent a great spent most of my time in the barn or curled up in front of the furnace. Hopefully this week everything will according to plan and everything will be smooth sailing.

This week I'm posting from my newly published novella, Rendezvous with Destiny. It just so happens that I'm running a FREE PROMOTION today and tomorrow, so if you like the snippet, feel free to download Rendezvous to your Kindle after you've spent a little time checking out the talented group of authors taking part in this week's WeWriWa blog hop.

Now, without further ado ...

Waves of ice cold shock swept over Theo.
Mrs. Dietrich, the woman who fed him chocolate cookies every time she pulled a sliver from his finger, the woman who’d tended him through every sickness and illness he’d had, the woman he loved as much as his own mother: a war spy and traitor.
Impossible!
“You think your mom is a spy?” He said the words slowly, not quite believing they came from his mouth. “For Germany? That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard.”
            “Is it?"

WeWriWa Febuary 7th-Rendezvous with Destiny

It's time for the Weekend Writing Warrior blog hop, which provides you with an excellent opportunity to read snippets from some extremely talented writers.

My snippet comes from my WWII rural historical romance novella, Rendezvous with Destiny.

Startled by the force of her reaction, Rosika leaned against Theo’s truck and drew in one deep breath after another and waited for the sensation to pass.
        Theo caught her eye.
“We still need to talk,” he mouthed.
         Rosika feigned ignorance and straightened.
“Felicia, always a pleasure to see you,” her sweet tone almost masked the underlying sarcasm.
“Theo’s looking forward to having a good time tonight. I’m sure I can trust you to make sure his wish is fulfilled.”
A wide smile spread across Felicia’s face, “I’ll do my best,”

Rendezvous with Destiny #WeWriWa post for 2/1/15

Hi,

I hope everyone survived the blast of miserable weather last week. I got lucky. Everything went south of me and my little corner of Michigan was cold, but sunny.

I'm posting another snippet from my soon to be released, YA WWII, rural romance novella, Rendezvous with Destiny. It's a story about friendship, changes, and secrets.

Don't forget to check out the authors who are participating in this week's WeWriWa blog hop! You'll be glad you did. It's a talented and diverse bunch!

I hope my snippet is 8 sentences. The first few times I counted, I got a funny number, which I'm hoping was nothing more than a temporary brain snafu!

Rosika bit her lip and looked across the truck’s hood at Felicia who was pressed so tightly against Theo’s side, a mosquito caught between their bodies would suffocate. Her arms were wrapped around his neck and he seemed engrossed by whatever she was whispering in his ear.
They looked good together.
The realization caused something sharp and unfamiliar jolted through Rosika. A hollow sensation filled her stomach. Her fingers curled into fists, her nails digging into her palms. A strange urge to rip off her shoe and drive the heel through someone’s eye swept over her.
She just needed to decide whose eye to exact revenge upon first.

I'm currently giving away three paperback copies of Rendezvous with Destiny via GoodReads. Feel free to sign up!
